How To Get More Followers On Wordpress Part 1
What's up guys, Andrew Hines here doing a tutorial on how to get more followers on wordpress. so if you are blogging on wordpress or on a wordpress. org blog which means you hostedit yourself chances are you wanna get your stuff read and I know how that feels believeme I started out getting absolutely no one reading my stuff. And as of right now I probablyhave about 100 unanswered comments on my blog so what I want to share with you is how youcan start doing that. um, okay, so this is my blog. I host mine myself and I will get into that a little morelater but what I want to start out with is setting a clear intention. When you writea blog post you've got to have a clear intention. What is it that I want to accomplish withthis?If you visit my blog at Andrew-hines. com you'll see that my posts are different. Some of themare text, some are videos. I usually throw some pictures in there etc. I write a lot on inspiration. I do throw some blogging tips in there. . . A couple other things but say I wanted to write a post ahh for becoming more influentialso I actually have video post that I did: "How to instantly become more influential". I did some research and there's some psychological research behind it. . and ahh say I want toget more followers on my blog. So I write that post, ah or say that you shoot a quickyoutube video ah and you can see I have 30 replies on that video. . um. . so I write thatpost and basically I have to decide what I'm going to tell people. If i'm doing a video then if I want more subscribers, I have to say. . I mean if I really want moresubscribers, I need to tell people that. Um, the thing I realized. . . and I've done a ton of research on this from internet marketersto, you know, just pretty much anyone who has any sort of influence and has developedany sort of a following has said that you have to give people clear instructions. So if you want more followers, tell them "if you enjoyed this video, please subscribe""please follow". I know that sounds incredibly simplified but believe me it works. Um, so you can see from this one my intention was to get people to share it. I want to drawmore people to my blog. Um, for me it's a little bit different because my blog is part of my business. . um I'm actuallyable to generate an income through blogging which is absolutely awesome. Um and when I set out to do a post I do have a clear intention. I want to provide valueand I want to compel people to take action. So that's what I wanted to share with youabout writing your content. So in your content if you make a video or if you write a post, say "please subscribeto my blog". Number 1. That's the number one thing you do. Beyond that, now you have tofigure out. . "well, what is my post about?"So for me, I love talking about inspiration. I love talking about influence and helpingpeople to become more powerful, more capable and better leaders so those are kind of theareas that I focus in. . and because of that. well, I'm going to want to make sure thatI touch base with people who write on that topic because those are the type of peoplewho are going to be likely to want my content. So, um, how do you do that? well there are a couple of ways and you know what, it's probablya bit much ah for this specific video. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to cut another video about um, how to structure yourcontent so that you're actually. . ah sorry, not how to structure it but how to syndicateyour content and what that means is "get it out there" so that you're actually gettingit in front of people who care about specifically what it is you have to offer. And once you have your content in front of people who care about it. Great things will happen. So you have two focuses. One, write great content. Two, tell people what you want themto do. Once you have those two things covered, we can move into how to syndicate your content. So this, consider this "day one" of getting more followers. This is video number one. I'm going to shoot a second video. So stay tuned and we willget you to having more followers on your blog.
